Visitor Regulations

Please, read before visiting.

By entering Nádasdy Mansion in Nádasdladány, you accept the rules and regulations set forth in this policy.

The mansion and its park are the property of the Hungarian state, the mansion is a listed building; let’s protect our values together!

Our institution employs security guards throughout its entire property and grounds, the operation of whom is regulated by Act CLIX of 1997 on the Armed Safety Duty, and on the Nature Guard and Rural  Guard Duties, as well as by BM (Ministry of Interior) ministerial decree No. 27/1998 (10 June)

 

For a pleasant and safe visit, please follow the rules below:

  • To visit the exhibition area and use our services you must have an entrance ticket, which gets validated by our staff before entering the exhibition area. The entrance ticket can be used for a one-time entry on the day of purchase – during opening hours. Please keep your ticket until the end of your visit.
  • Entrance tickets are final, non-refundable, and will not be exchanged for any other tickets. It is not possible to replace lost, destroyed or damaged tickets.
  • The exhibition space, the temporary exhibitions, the mansion garden, and the events can be visited by everyone at their own risk.
  • To buy a discounted ticket, please keep your ID card with you and show it at the ticket desk. Otherwise, we will not be able to issue a discounted ticket.
  • Use of the cloakroom is mandatory for the protection of artwork. Packages, backpacks and rucksacks worn on the back regardless of size, as well as umbrellas, raincoats and coats, which are carried and not kept on, are not allowed to be taken into the exhibit area. You can store your valuables in the cloakroom, the use of which is free of charge. We take no responsibility for valuables left in the cloakroom.
  • For the safety of artworks and visitors, a security camera system operates in the exhibition area in accordance with the applicable data protection law, consistent with our own data protection regulations. The exhibition spaces and artworks are guarded by the exhibit area protection staff, with the help of security guards.
  • It is forbidden to enter the entire area of the mansion complex under the influence of alcohol or other intoxicants. Visitors with incomplete clothing are forbidden to enter, even if they hold a valid entry ticket.
  • It is forbidden to bring weapons or weapon-like objects, piercing and cutting instruments, or any other objects or substances that may be harmful to life, personal safety, health or the artefacts into the entire grounds of the mansion complex. (If medically justified, liquids may be taken in one bottle of up to 0.5 litres only.)
  • It is forbidden to sit on the windowsill in the exhibition area or to use the stairs for purposes other than intended.
  • Visitors are not permitted to enter the mansion grounds by car, truck, motorcycle, moped, motor scooter or any other means of transport unlisted here (except for a vehicle carrying a person with reduced mobility, holding a permit). Visitors arriving by bicycle or scooter can place their bicycles and scooters in designated areas located within the grounds of the mansion complex. Cycling is not allowed within the grounds of the mansion complex.
  • PHOTOGRAPHY, FILMING: You may use your photographs, as well as film and audio recordings only for your own private and non-commercial purposes. (Wedding photography is available at an additional cost, in a pre-arranged manner and time.) Please do so without disturbing the other visitors.
  • USE OF MOBILE PHONES: Please, be mindful of others. Within the premises of the mansion complex, turn down the volume of your mobile phone and do not disturb other visitors with your conversation. The use of headphones is mandatory when making a phone call or listening to music at the mansion complex.
  • GROUP VISITS: Only qualified exhibition guides of our museum can introduce our exhibitions (except for guides with a director’s permit). It is the responsibility of the group leader, accompanying teacher, or parent (as well as an external exhibition guide holding a special letter of agreement) to ensure that all members of their group comply with these Visitor Regulations.
  • CLOSING REGULATIONS: The ticket desk closes 30 minutes before the end of the prevailing opening hours. Please, observe our opening times when purchasing a combined ticket.
  • SMOKING: Smoking is prohibited within the buildings of Nádasdy Mansion. This prohibition extends to the use of electronic cigarettes. Smoking is only allowed in the designated areas throughout the entire grounds of the forecourt and the mansion gardens.
  • MANSION GARDEN, FORECOURT: It is forbidden to bathe, swim or fish in the pond of the mansion garden. It is prohibited to climb on any of the sculptures or works of art situated in the mansion garden.
  • In case of an extraordinary event (e.g. natural disaster, fire, bomb alert, etc.), visitors are obliged to follow the instructions of the employees of Nádasdy Mansion.
  • We shall take no responsibility for lost property.

 

Nádasdy Mansion reserves the right to deprive individuals and groups who do not follow these visitor regulations the opportunity to enter the institution. A visitor who violates these visitor regulations, after warning, may be banned from the site for either a specified period of time or permanently, and may be subject to official proceedings. It is either the visitor or the person responsible for him/her who are liable for any damages resulting from the violation of these visitor regulations.
